Cloud & mobile FAQ

What the hybrid expansion changes—and what it will not change.

The accepted design adds optional mobile and cloud services while preserving the authoritative on-premise Windows application.

Will the Windows application become cloud dependent?

No. The campus Windows application and SQL Server remain authoritative and continue operating when cloud services are unavailable.

Will mobile apps connect directly to SQL Server?

No. Mobile clients use a secured cloud API. An outbound-only campus gateway synchronizes approved records and controlled commands.

Can parents see records while the campus is offline?

They may see the latest synchronized mobile-safe projection, with the last successful campus synchronization time clearly displayed.

When is an online payment final?

Provider confirmation and official school posting are separate. The official receipt appears only after the campus posts the verified payment through Indelo financial rules.

How will a parent gain access to a child?

The institution must approve the relationship. Knowing a name, admission number, or date of birth will not be enough.

Will the cloud copy the entire campus database?

No. The cloud stores purpose-limited projections required for approved mobile functions.

Why is Indelo Teacher later in the roadmap?

Teacher writes create institutional records and require proven offline storage, conflict handling, record versions, locks, approvals, and device security.

Which mobile platforms are planned?

Android and iOS are planned. Final operating-system support and store availability will be announced after validation.

Which payment provider is planned first?

Flutterwave is the planned initial provider for supported Nigerian payment methods. Additional providers may follow after validation.

How will cloud services be licensed?

The accepted commercial direction separates the perpetual on-premise major-version licence from recurring optional cloud services. Final plans and prices are not yet published.

Can a cloud suspension disable the local product?

The design keeps cloud-service status separate from the signed local licence. A cloud lapse must not silently invalidate lawful offline Windows operation.

When will these features be available?

They are in development. CABS will move individual features through early access, pilot, and general availability only after engineering, security, privacy, support, and operational gates are met.

How can a school participate?

Submit the hybrid cloud pilot application. CABS will review institutional sponsorship, campuses, student count, Indelo version, connectivity, parent data, payment readiness, and support capacity.

What support will be available?

Cloud-specific support categories, incident handling, gateway diagnostics, payment reconciliation, and service-status communication are planned before pilot operation.
